Step behind the gates of Yotes Court and enjoy a rare chance to explore our private 20-acre garden. Designed and re-landscaped in 2010 by the award-winning Tom Stuart-Smith, a three-time Chelsea Flower Show Best in Show winner. The garden was created to sit in harmony with the Grade I listed property.

Guided by a senior member of our gardening team, you’ll hear the stories behind the planting and design. Their deep horticultural knowledge, paired with a genuine passion for the garden, ensures each tour is both informative and inspiring.

Expect to see signature elements of Tom Stuart-Smith’s style: elegant pleached limes, sculptural topiary, cloud hedging, and beautifully layered perennial borders. The garden changes with the seasons, offering something new each time you visit—from the fresh colour of spring blossoms to the warm tones of late summer.

You can read more about the redesign and planting of the garden here >.

Parking for the tour is at the vineyard and the meeting point is the Cellar Door Wine Barn.

Please see full directions to the vineyard here.

You will be guided by a member of staff through the vineyard, the Yotes Court Orchard and the wild flower meadow. The ground is uneven so sensible and closed-toe footwear is required.

After viewing the garden, why not stay for a light lunch?

You can book a table online. We work with local Kent producers to provide simple, delicious fresh food and some ingredients are even taken from the Yotes Court Garden itself.

Out of consideration for all guests, we regret we cannot accommodate children under 12 or dogs (except assistance dogs).

Toilet Facilities – Please note toilet facilities are available at the vineyard only and will not be available in the garden.

Privacy – Out of consideration for the privacy and security of the family, we ask that you don’t share photographs of the house and buildings on social media. Thank you.

Accessibility – This experience involves a 10-minute walk to the garden, followed by approximately 90 minutes of touring. Please note, due to uneven ground and hilly terrain, it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Dates for our 2027 Garden Tours will be announced soon.

“We seek to create landscapes that offer a rich and multi-layered experience – places with an emotional depth that derives from the ideas behind their design.”
